Learn more about Double wall hot cups

Let's face it: Australians are big coffee drinkers. In less than a generation, we have moved from a nation of sedate tea drinkers to a nation of coffee obsessives. We now judge our cities on just how good the coffee is. Or how many baristas they have.

Ordering coffee cups and can't decide between single or double wall cups? Here are all the facts you need to make your decision.

Double Wall Hot Cups

If hot tea and long blacks make up a significant portion of your hot beverage sales, then you might want to consider our range of double wall coffee cups. The extra layer and textured pattern provides additional insulation to protect the consumers, and could end up being cheaper than double-cupping those extra-hot drinks.

However, the extra layer increases the environmental impact of the cup both in production and transportation. So, if you’re striving for more sustainable business practices it’s important to consider the impact. Not sure which hot coffee cups option is right for your business? Make sure you read our blog on the differences between single wall and double wall hot cups.

Our hot drink cups are made from paper sourced from only from certified managed plantations, and a coated with Ingeo™  – a bioplastic made from plants not oil. We use a heavy-duty, premium quality board giving our eco coffee cups superior stability, better lid fit and insulation, plus we print with soy or water-based inks.

Our eco-friendly hot cups are designed to be recycled in kerbside paper waste recycling and the PLA bioplastic lining means they can also be composted, along with their lids. Well-managed home composts will do the trick, but the best conditions are in a commercial compost. We understand many of our paper cups will end up in landfill so we calculate and offset the carbon emissions associated will a landfill disposal of all the BioCups we produce. In fact, we do this for all of our products.
