Plates, bowls and trays

Serving food to consumers on the go? Disposable bowls, plates and trays offer a convenient way to present your delicious food both beautifully and hygienically.

But, conventional single-use serveware like paper plates are often made from tree-pulp from old-growth forests, and plastic plates and bowls are derived from fossil fuels. After their short useful life of approximately 20 minutes, conventional plates, bowls and trays will most likely end up in landfill where it will take decades for them to breakdown, releasing greenhouse gases in the process.

Made from rapidly-renewable, responsibly-sourced resources like sugarcane pulp, bioplastic, and sustainably-sourced paperboard, our range of single-use plates, bowls, and trays offer a more sustainable solution. Plus, our clear bioplastic bowls and sugarcane pulp products are the first, and only, products of their kind certified to Australian/New Zealand commercial compost standards – AS4736

Our sugarcane plates, bowls, and trays are made from reclaimed and rapidly renewable sugarcane pulp – a by-product remaining after the juice has been extracted that would otherwise be burned.

We also offer paperboard trays and paper bowls produced from sustainably-sourced, FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified resources.

Prefer clear bowls? We offer clear bowls with lids made from Ingeo™, a plant-based bioplastic. Producing these bowls results in 75 percent less greenhouse gases than the conventional plastic it replaces.

BioPak eco-friendly plates, bowls, and trays are either recyclable, or commercially compostable which reduces greenhouse gases, returns nutrients back to the earth and improves soil quality, and costs less than sending waste to landfill.

Where composting is not an option, many councils recycle paper serveware with other paperboard products. Alternatively, we offer our own composting service.
