Plates, bowls and trays

Serving food to consumers on the go? Disposable trays, plates and bowls offer a convenient way to package your delicious food both beautifully and hygienically.

Takeaway convenience usually comes at a cost to the earth with conventional single-use serviceware like paper plates often being made from old-growth forests, and plastic plates and bowls being made from fossil fuels. After their short useful life of 20 minutes, conventional trays, plates and bowls usually end up in landfill where they take decades to breakdown and release greenhouse gases in the process.

Our range of single-use plates, bowls, and trays offer a more sustainable takeaway packaging solution – made from rapidly renewable, responsibly sourced resources like sugarcane pulp, plant-based bioplastic, and paperboard . Our clear bioplastic bowls and sugarcane pulp products are the first, and only, products of their kind certified to Australian/New Zealand commercial compost standards (AS4736).

Our sugarcane plates, bowls, and trays are made from reclaimed and rapidly renewable sugarcane pulp – a waste by-product of the sugar-refining industry.

We also offer paperboard trays and paper bowls produced from sustainably sourced, FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified resources. FSC Chain of Custody certification guarantees that our paper comes from a forest and supply chain that is managed responsibly through.

Prefer clear bowls? We offer clear bowls with lids made from Ingeo™, a plant-based bioplastic. Producing these bioplastic bowls results in 75 percent less greenhouse gases than the conventional plastic it replaces.

BioPak eco-friendly trays, plates and bowls are either recyclable or commercially compostable. Composting takeaway packaging reduces greenhouse gases, returns nutrients back to the earth and improves soil quality, and costs less than sending waste to landfill.

Where composting is not an option, many councils recycle paper serveware with other paperboard products. Alternatively, we offer our own composting service where all foodscraps and compostable packaging can go in the one bin. Divert your waste to landfill by joining up to the BioPak Compost Service!
